Describes a jadeite triplet submitted to the Los Angeles Gem Trade Laboratory. The long, thin, narrow cabochon consisted of two pieces of translucent jadeite joined by a layer of colouring that imparted a rich green appearance. A side-view photograph illustrates the composite construction.
